Sheriff's Deputy
Deputy Jim Rico posing with cruser

Residents of New Russia Township meet your very own Sheriff’s deputy Jim Rico. After nearly a year of planning and negotiations with the Sheriff’s department the Trustee’s signed the 4 year agreement for a Deputy and a patrol car. The Deputy will work 40 hours per week on a flex shift basis.

This year County Sheriff Stammitti was forced to cut back due to budget constraints that basically eliminated the County Township community policing Deputy program. This agreement affords the residents of New Russia Township protection above and beyond the normal now supplied by the Sheriff’s department. If you see Deputy Rico stop and get to know him. We feel he will be a great asset to our Township!
